5. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix (July 13, 2007)

The fifth movie in the "Harry Potter" franchise arrives this summer and will surely add another blockbuster to one of the highest-grossing and most popular movie series of all time. In "The Order of the Phoenix," Harry is now in his fifth year at Hogwarts and he's in a bind. Harry and Dumbledore are trying to convince the skeptical students and faculty of Hogwarts that the evil Lord Voldemort has returned with a new body. As a result, Harry sets off to convince his friends and start an underground resistance group to defeat Voldemort before it's too late. As usual, pretty much the entire main cast of the previous movie returns, but with only two more books to go after "Phoenix," be ready for some of them to perish pretty soon as the series takes on a darker and more suspenseful tone. The latest "Harry Potter" movie is directed by David Yates, who probably never directed anything you've ever heard of and must now follow previous Potter directors Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuaron, and Mike Newell. A "Harry Potter" movie is pretty much a sure thing at this point, no matter who directs it.

4. Transformers (July 4, 2007)

Let's get this out of the way first: like a lot of movie fans, I hate Michael Bay and his frantic, seizure-inducing style of directing soulless action movies ("The Rock," "Armageddon," and "The Island"). But he ain't such a bad choice for a CGI-laden live action "Transformers" movie. In the new film, the battle between Autobots and Decepticons spreads to Earth, where teenager Sam Witwicky (played by Shia LeBouf) discovers the secret location of AllSpark, the source of life energy for the Autobots and Decepticons. Peter Cullen, who provided the voice of Autobot leader Optimus Prime, returns in the new film, which also stars Jon Voight, John Turturro, Anthony Anderson and Bernie Mac. The good news is, the CGI of the Transformers themselves looks outstanding and I, like a lot of "Transformers" fans, have always wondered what the robots would look like in a live action film. The bad news is, Michael Bay is still the director. So it could be great, or it could be a shiv to the rib cage of my childhood nostalgia.

3. Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End (May 25, 2007)

How in the world did "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," become one of the highest-grossing films of all time? Despite having excellent CGI and special effects, "Dead Man's Chest" was a rambling mess that wasn't nearly as much fun as the first film. Now comes the third film in the trilogy, which sees Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann and the previously deceased Capt. Barbosa setting off to rescue Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), who was eaten by a large Kraken at the end of "Dead Man's Chest." The trio also teams up with Chinese pirate Sao Feng (played by Chow Yun-Fat), who must battle Davey Jones and the unscrupulous Lord Cutler Beckett, who stole Davey Jones' heart in the previous film. Oh, and Keith Richards make a highly anticipated cameo as Jack Sparrow's father, Capt. Grant Sparrow. Gore Verbinski returns to direct the third film of the trilogy, and hopefully he'll be able to right the ship, so to speak. But with the first cut of the film reportedly running three hours and so many characters to juggle, it's possible the "Pirates" franchise may be taking on water - which means it will make slightly less than $1 billion.
