Peculiar PC Peripherals

Introduction

If you knew someone who worked up a sweat while gaming, and believed that objects were actually coming out of the computer screen, you might consider professional help as the right solution. However, before you make that call, check to see if their gaming rig is pimped out with any peculiar peripherals. It could go a long way to explaining the odd behavior.

For the mainstream PC gamers out there, only a few gaming accessories and peripherals are usually considered essential: a joystick, a USB joypad, and perhaps a racing wheel. On the other hand, for the hardcore gamers who are either obscenely wealthy or willing to draw from their children's college fund, there are dozens of other products that can enhance the PC gaming experience.

For gaming aficionados, a PC equipped with all of these crazy gadgets is like a pristine Victorian mansion - and sometimes it costs about as much. Frankly, some of these peripherals are a bit over the top; after all, it's not everyone who wants to turn their computer into a replica of an airplane cockpit. Like them or not, however, there's one thing for sure - PC gaming is not just about a keyboard and mouse anymore.

Inexpensive Options To Change The Way You Play

The good news for gamers on a budget is that you don't have to declare bankruptcy in order to enhance your gaming experience. There are a few products designed specifically for the PC that can help turn your rig into a tripped-out gaming machine without feeling like you've just been mugged.

It goes without saying that PC games have changed in terms of graphical complexity (and by "changed" I mean "evolved more than Darwin could have ever imagined"). We're all ostensibly playing "3D" games these days, surrounded by the most luscious foliage and more realism than you can shake a stick at. Well, hang on a second... 3D? That term, 3D, is used very loosely in the gaming lexicon. Playing Half-Life 2 on your flat-screen computer monitor is hardly the same as watching Cyberworld 3D at the IMAX. XForce 3D is one company that realizes that, contextually, 3D is not defined by three stale dimensions; it's defined by the viewer experience.
