2. Play Old Games On It
So it isn't cool to lug that old Super Nintendo around with you when you go on the road? There are a few emulators out there to help your PSP pretend to be anything from a Nintendo Game Boy to a Sega Master System to a NeoGeo CD. MAKE has a rundown of how to get this set up, while PSP Emulation News provides a list of emulators. Note that you can only download the games and systems that you personally own - otherwise you have to delete it within 24 hours - so if you don't own it, don't download it.
1. Participate In The PSP Hacking Scene
While not the wild frontier it was for hacking back when it was first released, the PSP hacking and modification scene is still an active one. So why not throw your hat into the ring and do some modding of your own? The PSP Wiki has information about the PSP system itself, while PS2dev has tools (such as the PSP SDK that makes creating your own homebrew games and applications a lot easier) and even a wiki to help you cut your teeth.
As we said earlier, download and hack with care. While most of these mods are more or less harmless, THG's accepts no responsibility for any damage you do to your PSP, yourself, your sanity or your cat. Consider yourself disclaimed.
