Ten Free Games Worth Downloading

Sandbox Of God

First on the merry list of free games, for no particular reason, is Sandbox of God. This is definitely a quirky game. Essentially it's a puzzle game at heart: players are offered an open landscape and options such as rain, foliage, humans, rabbits and other things to make in god-like fashion. The trick is that each option can only be used once, so you have to try to raise your humans' IQ levels and evolution as far as possible by trying out different combinations. (To date, my most significant achievement is that the humans haven't yet mated with the rabbits.)
Seiklus

Seiklus is something of a cult hit among the GameMaker communities. It's a deceivingly simplistic platform title that just involves you jumping around, collecting orbs and trying to reunite with your girlfriend. But this dynamic is also used very effectively, with various environment traps and obstacles, as well as intuitive puzzles. And it's huge.
The graphics might seem simple and unexciting, but it works well with the soundtrack to create a great ambience not seen in a lot of games. It's also really addictive, and to quote someone familiar with the title, "at least as vast as the Zelda games."
