Introduction

Spring in New England is a pleasant time of the year for those who love warm sunshine, short sleeves and flowers starting to bloom. Spring this year in New England was also a pleasant time for those Hell bent on racking up kills and prevailing in blood fests during the LPANE Nor'easter held at the Shriner's Auditorium in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

The first LPANE (LAN Party Association of New England) drew gamers from all over the region and combined the 15-largest New England LAN parties into a single event.

Setting up LAN

Over two full days and one long night, Nor'easter 2005 entertained 340 gamers. Being the largest LAN in the region, it also made New England gaming history.

So how do you get 340 gamers inside when they could be enjoying the breaking weather? First, we're talking about gamers here. Second, the proceeds from the event were going to a good cause, the Shrine of North America.
