Fall Stompfest 2003: Forget About the Indy 500!

Friday Night: The Calm Before The Storm
We packed our gear and headed off to Indianapolis. What we were expecting was a fun local LAN party with a lot of good things going for it. What we got was something that we never would have expected possible. I think it's safe to say that we had more fun at Stompfest than we expected to; and that is quite an understatement. Once we found our way to the hotel and got everything set up, we decided to check the agenda to see if anything "organized" was happening prior to the big day (Day one of Stompfest). We learned that there was a get together for the sponsors and staff of Stompfest at a nearby restaurant, in celebration of Sean Aikins's (better known as "Code Zero") birthday.

Things aren't complete just yet, but staff is almost there!
Code Zero is the LAN party co-organizer for Stompfest, and the guy responsible for turning so many sponsors 'on' to Stompfest. Not only was it cool to stop by and wish him a happy birthday over some good food, but the dinner/celebration gave us a chance to unwind and get to know everyone a little better. Things were very informal, so we decided not to take any pictures until the event started. Besides, it is unlikely that many of you are really anxious to see pictures of people feeding their faces. After getting acquainted with the staff, we had good feelings about what might transpire the next day. We turned in early, anticipating the fragging that was soon to come.
