Playing It The Old School Way

NBA Street Vol. 2 offers several different gaming modes. There is the classic fast mode and the "pick-up game" mode which, in this new version, allows up to four people to play against each other, instead of two, as in the previous version. But the most interesting option remains the NBA challenge. The aim is to beat all the NBA teams and their legendary players on various courts. For you to become a virtual basketball legend yourself, you need to beat all of them, the stars of today such as Vince Carter and company, as well as all the stars of the NBA old school.

That is the great innovation of NBA Street Vol. 2. So you'll have the pleasure of playing against such heroes as Larry Bird, Bob Cousy, Clyde Drexler, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Julius Erving, and a whole lot of others, who may come and challenge you as you get better at the game. The most exciting feature is the fact that all the moves and all of the players who made them famous have been incorporated into the game, including the signature way Jordan scores. Basketball fans will be in their seventh heaven!

In this version of NBA Street, you'll be playing against the greatest stars of the NBA who will be using their classic moves, such as Jordan's poster dunk!

NBA Street Vol. 2 is a brilliantly designed game. The quality of the graphics and the animation is breathtaking from the start, especially on the typically sub-par PS2. The cartoon style chosen by the developers makes the very special rendering particularly successful despite aliasing problems. The stars are all recognizable and very well integrated into the settings especially, thanks to the excellent lighting management. The animation is quite simply outstanding. There is no dead time; the action is constant. This is the kind of thing that Playstation 2, GameCube and Xbox do best.

The NBA Street graphics engine performs brilliantly on all the games consoles. Players, sets and lighting effects are superb.
